The Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, organized a Merit Day event on March 26, 2024, to celebrate academic achievements and recognize excellence among its students and faculty members. 
During this event, students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance were appreciated for their dedication and hard work. Additionally, teachers who attained a Ph.D. were acknowledged for their scholarly contributions and commitment to higher education. Moreover, students who excelled in extracurricular activities such as sports and arts were also recognized and applauded for their talents and achievements.
The program began with the welcome speech rendered by Praveen Kumar and Keerthana Anil delivered an informative speech about merit day. The principal of the college Sujith Sir did the presidential address. The merit day 2024 was officially inaugurated by Dr. Santhosh Kumar sir. Felicitations were given by Omansheelan sir, Valsala teacher and Joly teacher. the programme came to end with Revathy B R rendering the vote of thanks. I was also happy as I got prize for 3rd in badminton competition.

Just like yesterday, I came to school at 9:15 am. After prayer and pledge, i had done my lesson plan. Then i went for class management in 8C. After that, i went to class 8B for teaching the balance portion of money math. Today, i taught about compound interest. Gives activity to do. At the end of the class gave a hw question. Then after had lunch, i had done my balance work. After the national anthem, we left the school.

Our college celebrated onam celebration named ' Kalika' on 23 rd and 24 th of August. On the first day, our Principal Sujith sir inaugurated the program. He said a few words about onam and also our english teacher Omanaseelan sir sung a onam song for us. Later, many games like musical chair, Mittayiperukkal, biscuit kadi, chakkilotam etc were conducted with involvement of both teachers and students. Group dances were done by both B.Ed and M.Ed students.The prizes were also distributed for the winners of games. The first day ended with vadamvali. On the second day we had to make attapookalam and a mega thiruvathira was also organised. Both these days were really memorable. On the second day Maveli Tamburan also came to visit us.

A field visit is an integral part of the B.Ed curriculum as it helps prospective teachers to gain practical experience and knowledge in real classroom settings. It allows them to observe teaching techniques, interact with students, and understand the challenges and complexities involved in the teaching profession.  As part of this, the department of Mathematics,Commerce,Physical Science,Natural Science and geography conducted a field trip to ' Milma Dairy Plant' ,Ambalathara on 26 th of september.All of the students and teachers reached by 10 am.One of the assistant dairy officer showed and explained the working process of the plant. At the end of the trip,teachers bought us icecreams from the milma shop.
